Common questions

What is the L:A ratio?

It’s the amount of lysine in what you ate divided by the amount of arginine. Lysine adds up the lysine and arginine in each food you log, plus any lysine supplements, and shows the ratio for each meal and for the day. The colors use thresholds you can change in Settings.

Where do the food values come from?

Mostly from USDA FoodData Central, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s food composition database. The values are averages, so the food you eat may differ.

Why can’t I find a food?

Search covers every food in USDA’s data that has both lysine and arginine values. Some foods, such as many berries and sweeteners, have no published amino acid values, so they can’t show a ratio. Try a simpler name (“yogurt” instead of a brand) or a similar food.

Is this medical advice?

No. Lysine is a nutrition tracking tool. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Talk to a clinician about your health and supplements.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, tap your profile picture, then Settings → Delete my account. You can also ask us by email.
